LUITOR (Luliconazole) Cream 1% is an antifungal that belongs to the azole class. Luliconazole appears to inhibit ergosterol synthesis by inhibiting the enzyme lanosterol demethylase.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Luliconazole kills the organisms Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum, most likely by altering their fungal cell membranes. Luliconazole is thought to inhibit the enzyme lanosterol demethylase. Lanosterol demethylase is needed for the synthesis of ergosterol, which is a major component of the fungus cell membranes .
INDICATIONS:
Luitor cream is an antifungal medication that prevents fungus from growing on the skin. It is used to treat fungal and yeast infections of the skin. It is indicated for the topical treatment of cutaneous candidiasis caused by candidia spp, it is used to treat Ringworm (tinea corporis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and athlete’s foot (tinea pedis).
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
As directed by the physician.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Luitor cream is contraindication in persons who have hypersensitivity to the active or excipient ingredients of this formulation.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Stinging, Swelling, irritation, or redness of the treated skin may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify the physician promptly.
PRECAUTIONS:
Avoid covering treated skin areas with tight-fitting, synthetic clothing that doesn’t allow air to circulate to the skin. If treating feet, wear clean cotton socks and sandals or shoes that allow for air circulation. Keep feet as dry. Do not use other medicated skin products unless prescribed by a physician.
STORAGE:
Store in a cool & dry place. Protect from light. Do not freeze.
